family video.

This fall, instead of my yearly family pictures we did a video.  My sister, Taylee, did an amazing job and portrayed exactly what our family is about.  We are a very affectionate family, and the song Ho Hey by the Lumineers cannot describe the place our family, and especially me and kevin are in more perfectly.  This video for me was all about us belonging to each other no matter what are tough times are like, which is something I learned this past year.  I love Kevin more than anything in this world, and of course I think my boys are pretty dang adorable and I love them to pieces or like they like to say.. "to the moon and back".  To sum it up, my family is amazing and I'm extremely blessed to have each one of them in my life!  Thanks Tay for the amazing video that I will always cherish!

sweet emmett

i don't think i could have asked for anything better with this new baby.  not only do my boys love him to pieces, but they absolutely adore him having to hold him, kiss and hug on him all the time.  emmett sleeps through the night, hardly cries and is the healthiest baby out of all my boys. i guess what they say is true, third is a charm!  love and adore this little guy.

during winter i had a couple people ask about photos and then it was too cold for me to have any desire to do them, then of course new baby threw me off for a while.  so now i am finally willing and wanting to do sessions again.  mini sessions are $85 for a cd of 15 images.  message me if interested.  thanks!   here are a few from last fall, enjoy!

1 week.

there is honestly nothing better than the smell of a newborn cuddled right up against your chest.  i have been loving every second of this little man and could not be more grateful for his health, how content he is and of course how adorable he is.  as for my other kids right now, i could not say the same thing.      although they adore their new brother, they have been whining, not listening and acting out a lot more than usual, not fun!  emmett, i wish you could stay my sweet little baby forever!

welcome home.

the hospital has a rule that children under 14 were not allowed to come in, and they do not bend with that rule.  i was extremely bummed (to say the least) that my boys had to wait to meet emmett.  however, my brother in law coming to film them meeting him for the first time made it all worth it.  they love their new addition to the family.  from lots of kissing, hugging, smothering to worried questions about the circumcision, umbilici cord and cries they hear.  they honestly both could not treat their new little brother any more sweet.  too bad they don't have that same love for each other.. :).  enjoy!  NP films does amazing work.

meet emmett

out of all three boys, this birth was by far my favorite.  emmett came really fast and the recovery from him was by far the best.  i went into the hospital around 5:30, got put on a small dose of potassium at 6:00, my doctor broke my water around 9:00 and he was here at 10:22.  easy right?... well after the fact it was easy and great, however if you ask kevin, it did not look easy according to him.  i had a bit of freak out wanting the epidural between the water breaking and the time he actually came.  i had NO idea he was so close to coming, and on top of that since i was on potassium and got my water broke by the doctor, the contractions were a lot more intense.  i then quickly realized i had no time for the epidural.  the last twenty minutes i couldn't even talk, or even tell kevin that i was close to coming.  i sat there in a complete daze, breathing through the extremely painful contractions, trying to tell myself they were not painful.  by the time the baby was actually coming, i made myself finally talk and told kevin to get the nurses in here, the baby was coming.  he didnt believe me and politely asked them to come.  thats when i called the nurses (my doctor was not there), may have screamed a little too loud, and minutes later emmett michael allphin was born.
